We all have the responsibility of protecting our environment, and handing over a habitable and safe world to a future generation. There is a need to act against climate change, and the need is immediate! With small lifestyle changes from our end, by raising conversation around it, and by understanding the adverse effects climate crisis will have on the most vulnerable sections of our world, we can make a difference and slow down the effects of climate change.
H2O’s Barrier Free Carbon Neutral Zone powered by Finastra CSR, is Helping Hands Organisation and Finastra’s collective attempt at neutralising the carbon footprint of over 5200 individuals by planting oxy-bamboo shoots, along with indegenous herb, fruit, and flowering plants. It is also our effort in starting a conversation on how a climate crisis will not only affect our children, but will leave our children and individuals with disabilities at a larger risk.
First of its kind, the zone will be disabled friendly, educative, and therapeutic, with the inclusion of a sensory garden which will act as a safe haven for butterflies and birds. This model zone is also set to be replicated across various parts of the country.
