Pratheeksha

Pratheeksha is H2O’s initiative to create an atmosphere of holistic development for children who are underprivileged and come from socio-economically unstable families. Children who join Pratheeksha come from 4 basic categories of families:

  1. Have Physically/Mentally disabled parents
  2. Have Parents who are into substance abuse
  3. Have Parents who are in remand homes/jail
  4. Economically unstable

We currently have 44 children under the Pratheeksha programme, who get regular classes on Math, Science and Language along with extra curriculars, every Saturday. We are hoping to increase the numbers to 60, this coming academic year.

Saturday sessions are also inclusive sessions, where in we mould our children from Pratheeksha from a very young age to be sensitive towards the needs of our differently abled children from Daffodils. The sessions also help our children from Daffodils to pick everyday life skills from our children in Pratheeksha.
